A certified nurse-midwife’s focus is on the women’s wellness and consumer choice. Safe, sensitive, confidential personal care is the hallmark of the CNMs unique attention to the special primary care and reproductive needs of women. CNMs are often the initial contact for providing health care to women. The care provided by CNMs encompasses all of the essential factors of primary health care, such as evaluation, assessment, treatment and referral when required. There are a variety of career options from which a CNM might choose. |
